A Study on the Integration of Mental Health Education and Ideological and Political Education

from the Perspective of Category-fit-in Demonstration

Abstract:

From a category-fit-in perspective mental health education should be integrated into ideological and political education. Mental health education and ideological and political education share the same scope of the educator and the educated. The effective objects of mental health are cognition emotion determination and behavior and these belong to the category of thoughts and behaviors. The implementation of mental health education needs the dredging and guiding the encouraging and educating of the educator. Mental health education promotes the harmonious coexistence between individuals and society through psychological guidance. It should be positioned as the subordinate discipline of ideological and political pedagogy and the integration of mental health education and ideological as well as political education should be realized from the three aspects of curriculum setting textbook compilation and teaching mode.
